Sadly, many individuals present each year with severe facial injuries to Jefferson's Level One Regional trauma center. Working in tandem with Dr. Robert Penne and Dr. Jurij Bylik of Wills Eye Hospital, Dr. Pribitkin has successfully repaired scores of severe facial traumas ranging from nasal fractures to extensive orbital and craniofacial injuries. The trauma team at Jefferson uses a hidden incision approach-rarely is it necessary to make a cut on the face in order to repair a facial fracture. Additionally, recent technological advances enable Dr. Pribitkin to repair fractures with 1.3 and 1.0 mm titanium plates, which are not felt by patients after their surgery.
